About Us
The New Zealand Cake Decorators Guild was formed in 1986 and is the parent body for 39 Cake Decorating Guilds and Clubs throughout New Zealand. Our membership stands at nearly 800 and includes those for whom cake decorating is their profession, teachers and hobbyists. Our aims are to promote the art of cake decorating at a professional level, and as a rewarding and satisfying hobby.
Our members are very enthusiastic about
their art form and this organisation, borne out by the fact that
25-35% of total membership attends our Annual Conference
weekend, held alternately in the South and North Islands.
Conference is a time for sharing knowledge and learning new
skills, with the assistance of demonstrators from New Zealand
and overseas, and for seeing the products on offer at the Trade
Stands.

Membership is open to anyone with an
interest in cake decorating, through
their local branch, or Lone membership
is available to those not living within
50 kms of a club. Traders and companies
involved in the Industry are able to
join directly as Affiliate Members.
